The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Oslo consists of nine departments and seven interdisciplinary centers, of which three are Centers of Excellence, one Centre for Research-based Innovation and one Centre for Excellence in Education. The research that is conducted at the Faculty covers a broad field of subjects within natural sciences and technology. The Faculty has several excellent research environments and researchers, many of who is cutting edge within their areas of specialization both nationally and internationally.
